Team Preview
Punjab had a disappointing campaign this season with just one win out of five and one more defeat will down their morale for the remainder of the tournament. The previous 10-wickets loss against Chennai put questions on their bowling unit. Their bowlers let them down in another game and surprisingly, they didn't even pick a single wicket on Sunday. The batting unit is doing wonders as Pooran also some runs in the last two outings. Maxwell’s form is still a big concern but it’s avoidable as Punjab didn’t see any top-order collapse yet.
On the other hand, Hyderabad lost a high-scoring game agaisnt Mumbai to suffer 3rd loss in the tournament. Warner got his maiden half-century but Bairstow is not scoring much after 61 in the first game. Orange Army also suffered a big blow as their main strike bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the tournament. Rashid Khan now has the big responsibility and Indian pacers need to put extra efforts in the next few games. If they get an opportunity to defend a good total, they can outclass Punjab.
Pitch Report
Dubai’s surface is slightly different from Sharjah and Dubai. The track is bit slow and it also has dew in the second half but spinners can draw attention in middle-overs. Chasing is not an ideal call if opponent scores above 180 here.
