High-flying Rajasthan takes on Kolkata in Dubai to top the table with three consecutive wins. Smith-led side has exceptionally outplayed Chennai and Punjab at Sharjah. The previous high-scoring record chase put a mark in the league as Rajasthan can surprise any big team on their day. Chasing a huge 223 with elegant power-hitting, they snatched the victory from the jaws of the defeat.
Dubai’s ground might be a tough task for them as the Sharjah’s pitch was flat and the boundaries were also short. Meanwhile, Kolkata got their confidence after a 7-wickets victory over Hyderabad. Shubhaman Gill and Morgan guided Kolkata home to chase a total of 143. Kolkata still need to fix their issues as Narine was not effective in both games and bowling unit requires more test ahead of the big games coming next week. On a challenging track, Rajasthan will be tested and Kolkata is the team who can break their streak in Dubai.
Pitch Report
Dubai’s track is quite different from Sharjah. The surface offers plenty of runs for batsmen with a slight help to spin in middle-overs. Batting first might be a good call if the quality spin is there. Looking at the last couple of games, it might be a high-scoring affair.
